At Mortlake College the Middle Year's students are grouped vertically, at years 7&8 and years 9&10. All students study a core curriculum of English, Mathematics,Science, Humanities, PE & Health and General Capabilities. Elective units cover the learning areas of Technology and The Arts, with all students required to study at least one unit from these areas each semester.
At year 10, and sometimes at year 9, students are also able to access the VCE curriculum and/or to begin VET studies or School Based Apprenticeships. Individual Pathways are developed for students who choose to access senior subjects.
